Meet The Team

Dr. Nessa Livingston, Meridian Optometrist

Hi! My name is Nessa Livingston, born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. I was that nerdy kid who picked her future job in elementary school—and actually stuck with it! I followed that passion through to my doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2010. After starting my career in the Seattle area, I eventually found my way to the Treasure Valley and haven’t looked back. My favorite part of being an optometrist is the relationships I get to build with my patients and their families. It is truly rewarding to be able to help my patients look and see their very best while continuing to preserve their vision for years to come. When not at the office, I’m in mom mode usually rocking a yoga pant/hoodie combo and chasing around my three boys. I’m an avid coffee lover, endless multitasker, and amateur mixologist. I also have an amazingly supportive husband who is a huge part of the practice behind the scenes.

Dr. Nessa Livingston, Meridian Optometrist

Hi, I'm Dr. Melissa Fowler, a Southern California native. After completing my Bachelor of Science at UC Santa Barbara, I graduated with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2007. As an optometrist, I'm dedicated to providing comprehensive and personalized eye care for all ages, treating my patients like family. Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my husband, a local orthodontist, and our two kids. We're big fans of Idaho's outdoor life, from snowboarding to hiking, and we're always busy attending ourkids' sports events!

Annika Lessard, OD

Hello! My name is Dr. Annika Lessard, and I’m originally from Northern California. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology with a Human Emphasis at Boise State University and later earned my Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Boise quickly felt like home during my undergrad years, and I always knew I wanted to return and build my career in this community. During my clinical training, I gained hands-on experience in a variety of settings, including a school-based clinic, a nonprofit community health center, and a private family practice. These experiences shaped my patient-first approach and deepened my commitment to delivering thorough, personalized eye care. I love getting to know my patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their vision and overall eye health. Outside the clinic, I enjoy hiking, trying new restaurants around Boise, and spending time reading on my patio with my Kindle. I'm excited to be part of this community and look forward to caring for patients of all ages with kindness, attention to detail, and a passion for great eye care.

Eyes on Meridian Modern Eyeglass Stylist

Hello! I am Kristie and I have been a Boise resident for the past nine years. I grew up just south of Cleveland and am still in love with all things Ohio, including my Cleveland Browns – Go Brownies!! It’s hard to believe, but I began working in the optical field 28 years ago. I have a passion for eyewear, frame styling, and staying current on the newest technology and trends. I gain the most satisfaction when patients leave the office looking and seeing their very best. I believe that choosing the perfect frame should be fun, informative, and stress-free. I am the mother of three adult sons and a daughter-in-law who is the daughter I never had. In my spare time, depending on the season, you can find me cheering on our Steelheads, Broncos, or Hawks and also enjoying all of the outdoor activities that the Treasure Valley has to offer. I’m so excited to be a part of Eyes on Meridian and can’t wait to show ya’ll what we’re all about!

Hey there! My name is Kimberly and I'm excited to introduce myself as part of the team here. I was born and raised in Idaho, but my family immigrated from Mexico in the early 90s. Even after all these years, I still take pride in my roots and the amazing community we've found here. Before joining the optometry world, I worked in all sorts of different fields from farming to finance, but nothing has really excited me as much as working in optometry. At our office, I get to connect with patients and make their visits as smooth and easy as possible. It's so rewarding to see them leave with great care and a smile on their face. When I'm not at work, you can find me spending quality time with my family and my dogs. I love exploring new restaurants, camping with loved ones, or just enjoying a Studio Ghibli movie on the couch. Life is full of experiences, and I try my best to embrace them all. I love being a part of this dynamic team!

Hello! My name is Genesis, but I also go by Genny! I was born in Southern California, but my family moved to Nampa in 2005. I’m a first-generation Guatemalan and Salvadoran and the second of four siblings. I joined the world of optometry right after high school, and I’ve been enjoying the field more every day! My favorite part of the job is helping patients find frames they love—there’s nothing better than seeing someone walk out with confidence in their new look. There’s so much to learn in this industry, and I’m grateful to be part of it. When I’m not at work, you can usually find me training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—I’ve been at it for about three years now and currently hold a blue belt! This sport has introduced me to some of my best friends (including my boyfriend), and it’s an incredible outlet for both mind and body. I also love spending time with loved ones, traveling, and trying new things. I’m so happy to be part of the Eyes on Meridian team, and I can’t wait to meet you!
